Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Model Search, a marketplace operated by ROF Labs connecting South African models with brands, agencies, photographers, and production houses for paid work. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

Model Search is for models who are 18 years of age or older. We verify this at registration and do not create model profiles for anyone under 18. Brand accounts must be operated by someone authorised to book work on behalf of their company or agency.

Your account and content

You are responsible for the accuracy of the profile details and photos you upload, and for keeping your account credentials secure. You retain ownership of your portfolio content, and you may remove it, or delete your account entirely, at any time from your account settings. You must only upload photos you have the right to use.

The unlock system

Brands purchase credits to unlock a specific model's private contact details for the purpose of discussing paid work. Unlocking a profile does not guarantee a booking, payment, or any particular outcome between the brand and the model — Model Search facilitates the introduction only and is not a party to any resulting booking agreement.

Casting calls

Brands may list casting calls describing available paid shoot work, including the shoot date, location, payout, and number of models needed. Listing a casting call costs the brand a credit. Models may browse open casting calls and express interest at no cost — expressing interest is always free for models. A brand spends a credit to accept an interested model and unlock their contact details, at which point the same terms governing unlocks above apply. Listing false, misleading, or non-existent casting calls, or using a casting call to solicit anything other than genuine paid modelling work, is a violation of these terms.

Credits and payments

Credit packs are purchased by brands through our payment processor, Yoco. Credits remain available in a brand's account until spent and do not expire unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. Because credits can be spent immediately upon purchase, completed purchases are generally final. If you believe you were charged in error, or experienced a technical issue during checkout, contact us at the address below and we will review your request.

Acceptable use

You may not use Model Search to harass, misrepresent your identity, solicit unpaid or unsafe work, or contact models outside the platform before unlocking their details. Reported accounts are reviewed and may be suspended or removed.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the platform evolves. We will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
